1. Internal Connection

China has abundant and wonderful intangible cultural heritage resources. China ranks first in the world in terms of the total number of projects listed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List (Roster), and a total of 1557 national level intangible cultural heritage representative projects have been recognized nationwide. As of September 2022, Qingdao City has 16 national level intangible cultural heritage representative projects, 74 provincial level intangible cultural heritage representative projects, and 207 municipal level intangible cultural heritage representative projects. More than 73% of intangible cultural heritage projects are preserved in traditional rural areas. Therefore, promoting the protection and utilization of intangible cultural heritage, building a "community of shared future" for intangible cultural heritage protection and rural revitalization, is of great significance for comprehensively promoting rural revitalization.

2. Industrial revitalization

The scale of China's intangible cultural heritage industry is conservatively estimated to be 1.4 trillion yuan, which is a vast market blue ocean. By actively exploring effective mechanisms and measures for integrating intangible cultural heritage into and serving rural revitalization, the cultivation of intangible cultural heritage industry can be linked to the overall plan of rural revitalization, and the development of intangible cultural heritage can drive the integration and upgrading of rural industries, enhance the market competitiveness of intangible cultural heritage products, and make intangible cultural heritage a growth point to drive farmers' income and expand rural employment channels, thereby assisting in the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas.

3. Cultural revitalization

The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to increase the protection of cultural relics and heritage. Intangible cultural heritage, as an important component of cultural heritage, is mutually supportive of rural cultural revitalization in its development. By exploring the ideological concepts, traditional virtues, and humanistic spirit contained in intangible cultural heritage, we provide wisdom and nourishment for contemporary people's lives and local cultural development, and inspire new vitality in traditional intangible cultural heritage with the spirit of the times.

4. Talent revitalization

The key to rural revitalization lies in people, and talent revitalization is the foundation of rural revitalization. Intangible cultural heritage requires more young generations to protect and inherit. Through extensive skill training for local residents, the skills of practitioners have been improved, the number of inheritors has been expanded, and the vitality of project inheritance has been promoted.
